Ah, chocolate... my dad brought home chocolate for me and my mom.  It's French.  And it's dark chocolate, the best kind.  The bar was about six inches in length, and I had to split it with my mother, but it's still amazingly good.  I don't normally like chocolate candy.  Only dark chocolate, and I'm extremely picky about it.  I can't stand milk chocolate at all.

Here's a picture to taunt y'all with.  My mini chocolate bar! :D (Still eating it, BTW.  I'm making it laaaaasssstttt.)

So most people in the U.S. like music, right?  Even if they can't sing, there's usually a type of music or a singer they prefer.  I like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, as y'all know.  But then I have a plethora of other songs on my iPod, including (but not limited to) Scotty McCreery, stuff from Victorious, Lauren Alaina, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, James Durbin, Carrie Underwood, and Adele.  I'm also waiting for more iTunes money so I can get a new Kelly Clarkson song and some other stuff.  What types of music or what artists do you like?

Happy but Unhappy

So, y'all remember Fern?  This kitty.

Well, that's the one I rescued, and she put on weight, and her fur grew out.  But she had problems with other cats.  But I went to the animal shelter as usual today, and...she's been adopted. :( I mean, it's a good thing because she's found a home, but... I didn't get to say good-bye to her and I'm going to miss her so much...! :(

Smells Sweet

So, a couple weeks ago, I participated in a thing on Selena Gomez's website.  I got to help pick the scents in her upcoming fragrance.  And I've been picked as one of the lucky 100,000 voters to receive a sample of her fragrance!  Check out the e-mail I got. ;) I still hope I get to go to NYC. xD

Rant, Rant, Rant

So I'm doing another post in the same day.  I feel like ranting.  So one of my best friends isn't having a b-day party.  But she invited me to go sledding on Saturday.  I really wanted to go.  I even had the perfect idea for her present (not telling you what I was thinking of, Kate!).  And I figured we'd be able to work it into our schedule.  But my mother is going to a scrapbooking thing, and my dad is hosting an APBA tournament.  And neither one can get me to my friend's for sledding.  So now I feel positively awful because I've had to let Kate down, and because I wanted to go so bad.  I'll be stuck up in my room, avoiding my dad and his friends.  And my other friend can't come over either, so yay...stuck up in my room... Just what every teenaged girl wants to do on a Saturday.

Lip Gloss Forever!

You're talking to the resident lip gloss freak.  I had $15 left on my Bath & Body Works giftcard, and I used it to get 4 lip glosses! (One was $2 and one was free as part of a buy two, get one free deal.) We went to B&BW after MOPS today, and I got my glosses!  They are... glittering cola (actually smells like Coca-Cola), sparkling soda (smells kind of like root beer), Aruba coconut, and peach tart.  The peach tart is a retired one, and I absolutely love it!  They all smell sooooo good, and I can't wait to use them.

Hello, Lovely New Background!

Changed the background.  Isn't it lovely?  It's a bit more mature than hot pink, but still feminine.  I think it's more writer-ish.

In other news, Envy Green is now off my blog.  Found out a friend who I wanted to read it got to read it.  Therefore, Love Red will be up on...hmm... Thursday or Friday, depending on my school load.

Also, as I commented on the Envy Green post, I'm not sure when book 4's cover will be up here.  My friend is banned from the forum website, so she cannot have Amy make my cover.  Amy, if there is some other way I can contact you, please reply to this post.  If you include an e-mail address or something more private, I won't publish the comment. ;)

Some Websites... :P

So, I just found out I apparently can't send my stories through my friend to my friends on this forum website since the stories are "against their stupid, overly strict rules".  Because my characters kiss and start dating.  Nothing worse than you'd find in a mild young adult book.  Kissing is even in Disney movies, for goodness's sake!  So, I'm going to post the short stories here.  For only two days per story.  Hopefully this'll prevent plagiarism.  That's why I haven't posted the short stories here yet nor the whole MDBC fanfiction.  I'll be posting Envy Green tomorrow, so stay tuned if you really want to read it!  It'll be up until about 11 PM CT on Tuesday night.

Eye Candy

Check out this gorgeous cover.  Book three is Blue Despair and this is what Amy designed its cover to look like.

Cold Winter

Well, guess who got herself sick again? *points to self* Me, that's who.  There was a little girl in the nursery on Sunday, and I'm pretty sure she gave it to me.  I'm hoping I'll feel okay tomorrow, though, because I have co-op and missing biology is going to be problematic.  My friend could give me her notes, but, well, she takes less thorough notes than I do.  I hate being sick. :P The last two times I've gotten sick this year, I got sick over the weekend so I didn't miss co-op.  That can't happen this time!!!

BTW, as I write this, snow is falling outside.  Bluck.

So, I finally got an iTunes card with which I can get songs off of iTunes!  I've spent all but a $1.90 of it.  The problem is, there are two songs I really want to get: a Taylor Swift song which is $1.29, and "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" by Selena Gomez.  I can't get both, but if I get the Selena Gomez one, I can get another $.99 song, but I'd have to wait to get the Taylor Swift one.  What should I do?

Amazing Graphics

*faints* I feel really lame after showing you my Envy Green cover and now showing you these two.  I am absolutely terrible at graphics, it seems. :P I'd like to thank Amy for doing these.  They are stunning!

Really amazing, aren't they?  I love how they're both color-themed, as will the rest of the books in the short story series (I'm planning for five total, so that means three more).  I've stared at the Envy Green cover a lot lately, however, so it's not so O_O-inducing for me.  Unlike the Love Red one.

Canterwood Crest: Initiation

So for a contest on Jessica Burkhart's blog, I'm supposed to blog about her latest book in the series: Initiation!  Spoilers are ahead, so if you're reading the Canterwood Crest series, please avoid reading the rest of this post. ;) If you aren't even considering reading CC, then, by all means, continue. ;)

Initiation is technically the 13th book in the series. (Chosen is a Super Special, so I don't personally consider it as a set part of the series.  It's sort of like the Warriors Super Editions, in my mind.)  There are about...five main characters, I'd say.  Lauren, of course, (she's the only narrator, BTW), Khloe, Riley, Lexa, and Clare.  And Lauren seems to be a bit of a boy-magnet!  I personally hope she ends up with Drew.  The whole book, though, she's trying to keep the secret about her jumping accident.  And at the very end, after a sleepover, all the girls go down to the Hawthorne common room to watch riding videos.  Someone pops in the video of the show where Lauren had her accident.  When Khloe-who is also Lauren's roommate-asks Lauren if that girl was her, Lauren says no.  Both my friend and I about fell off our seats with shock.  How could Lauren say that?  Plus, there's so many possibilities to what she'll say next!  And we have to wait until May for Popular. :( Anything else I should mention?  Oh, yes, I think Lauren is overwhelming herself with her schedule.  She's putting too much on her plate.  And I wish Khloe had gotten cast as Belle, not Mrs. Potts.  Riley's reaction about that to Khloe was seriously mean. :(

That's all!  Now off to schoolwork....

January 1, 2012

Wow, 2012 is officially here!  I'd love your help with something.  I finished the sequel to "Envy Green" (well, minus editing), and now I'm ready to start on the cover.  The problem is, I can't decide which image to use for the cover.  So, here are the choices.

Your basic thumbprint heart.  I would probably need to enlarge it a bit so that it's not this giant mass of color for the background and this teeny tiny heart.

There's a heart, it's red.  The title is "Love Red".  I can't decide which image fits better.  Because the thumbprint one could be supposedly made by the two main characters, but I don't really know.  The red heart feels impersonal, while the thumbprint one feel special like the green eye on "Envy Green".  Both feel totally cool and linked to the story.  Thoughts?
