So how do y'all feel about books that make you cry? Do they make you uncomfortable? Do you love them more? Well here are 10 books that made/make me cry, whether it's a few tears...
or full-on crying.
But let's get into the books!
1. Allegiant by Veronica Roth
That ending did me in. Especially when *SPOILER*Tris had that conversation with her mom*SPOILER* and the very last scene.
2. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
I'm sorry, but if this book didn't make you at least tear up, you're probably heartless. Maybe you can blame Regina for that, though? (Once Upon a Time reference.)
3. Bluestar's Prophecy by Erin Hunter
All of the Warriors Super Editions seem to be super sad. This is one of the two that made me cry.
4. Better off Friends by Elizabeth Eulberg
I was able to get an ARC of this one, and while it was generally a happy book, there's one scene involving Macallan's mother that definitely made me tear up.
5. Pies & Prejudice by Heather Vogel Frederick
Overall, this book is pretty cheerful and awesome. But there's one chapter in the summer section that's pretty sad. It's still good, but very sad.
6. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
There are so many characters lost that it's hard to not cry, even when I reread it.
7. Just One Day by Gayle Forman
I guess overall, I didn't cry, but I think I teared up a couple times.
8. This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales
I don't remember what chapter/scene/part it was, but I definitely teared up while reading this one.
9. United We Spy by Ally Carter
It was very much the memories and the whole graduation scene that made me cry.
Well, I guess that's it. It's surprising and yet not so surprising that I can only think of 9 books. I'm not a crier when I read, I think.
So what about y'all? Are some of these books ones that make you cry?
