Awkwordly Emma's Fourth Blogoversary: Divergent Meets One Direction

I hear the word 'four' and two things instantly come to mind: the character from Divergent and One Direction's latest album. I'm pretty sure this is, like, the one number I cannot relate to Taylor Swift. Wait...

Knew I'd find a way.

Anyways... let's get the serious stuff out of the way first.
Thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to read one of my blog posts, especially if you comment. You've kept Awkwordly Emma going for four years now! Thank you to the authors who I've done interviews with so far this year (Moriah McStay, Jenn Marie Thorne, Martha Brockenbrough, Anne Blankman, Tara Dairman, and Katie M. Stout). Thank you to the publishers who have sent me ARCs and thanks, as always, to Read Between the Lynes. I already miss having an indie bookstore just down the street. Now I have to drive so far just to reach Barnes & Noble, and they do not compare. Thank you to my friends in the blogger community; I won't name names because I'll inevitably forget someone but I'm so grateful to all of you for your advice, friendship, and mutual love of books.

Now, for the fun...

First, I'm going to list my favorite songs off of Four! In no particular order...
"18"
"Where Do Broken Hearts Go"
"Fireproof"
"Clouds"
"Illusion"

And now for Divergent...

(a.k.a., can't believe I've been blogging for four years)

(these two gifs are how I feel about every new thing I have to do)

(And mandatory Four)

And now...a giveaway!
The first prize winner will get their choice of one of my favorite books of 2015 (I'll email you the list if you win). (Open internationally, as long as The Book Depository ships to you.)
The second prize winner will get some of my extra book swag (I have a lot). (This winner must be US only just so I can save on postage.)
As always, I will be checking entries, so no cheating!
May the odds be ever in your favor!

  2. Congratulations on four years of blogging, Emma!
Apparently I need to find an indie bookstore somewhere. Barnes and Noble is currently my favorite bookstore in the world- though I might be biased because I get gift cards for it from my grandpa- so I'm curious to see what can top it.

    1. If you visited Joseph-Beth Booksellers, Barnes & Noble would always pale in comparison after.

  8. I have been following since year two or one and a half maybe? It was my love for the Mother Daughter Book Club that led me to you and while I don't comment often I have loved seeing your blog grow and reading all your reviews because quite honestly our book taste are very similar so if you love it, I know that I probably will.

    Happy Blogoversary Emma!

    1. The Divergent movie was good despite its changes. I didn't like the adaptation of Insurgent though.

  12. Is there any book you have been wanting to read for a while and never have gotten around to?

    1. Definitely Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I checked it out from the library once but never got around to reading it. My Secret Sister gifted it to me as an e-book so I have more motivation to read it soon.
