Because I Love Fairytales

I'm just a little in love with fairytales.  So I decided to share some fairytale pictures I found on Photobucket.

Various Stories

On June 30th, I did a post about my writing projects.  Now here we are, almost two months later, and I think I've greatly decreased the amount of projects I have.  Ready to see another list?  This time, I'm only doing the books I'm actively working on and the dormant ones. :)

Actively Worked On
Competition
Cursed
Dancing in the Rain
Diary of a Homeschooler-Cassie
Sixteen (it's active until I know it's officially done)

Dormant
Diary of a Homeschooler-Jocelyn
MDBC fanfiction
New Hope (Warriors fanfiction)
Jane by Design fanfiction

I like that my fanfictions aren't first priority, since those can never be published.  And I'm thinking these lists looks a lot better than the ones in June!  What are your thoughts?

Chillaxing at Home

Well, today has turned out to be the perfect day to post this outfit!  It's still pretty warm here in Illinois, but it's a cloudy and rainy afternoon, and I'm relaxing in yoga pants and a tank.  So without further ado, Rainy Day Comfy!

Ready for the prices?

Date Night, Part Deux and More!

So, I decided to do another date night outfit, but first, I went on Hannah the Banana's blog to check out her Polyvore outfits, and I saw I was tagged for her blog award, and this was a month ago!  I feel so bad, Hannah. :( I'll answer those questions right now!

1. If you could go to any country, where would you go? France!!!!

2. Have you ever seen Downton Abbey? Nope, but I've heard of it. :)

3. What's your favorite book? The Mother-Daughter Book Club series, Princess Academy, Palace of Stone, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, To Kill a Mockingbird...okay, I'll stop now. xD

4. What's your favorite season? Spring!  But I like summer if it's not too swelteringly hot. :P

5. What's your biggest fear? Oh, gosh....probably going underwater.  There are so many times I'll try and force myself to go underwater (I'll even get so far as closing my eyes, closing my mouth, and plugging my nose) but I just cannot willfully get myself to go under.  That or bugs.  I'll literally freeze when I see most insects or spiders.

6. Do you have any pets? Yup!  A dog named Sunny.  He's appeared on my blog before. :)

7. What's your favorite sport? I love equestrian stuff.  Gymnastics are cool, too.

8. What's your favorite food? Hands down, bagels.

9. Have you ever been kayaking? Nope.

10. Which do you prefer? Fingers or toes? Um...fingers, I guess, since my toes are annoying me right now. :P (Don't ask.)

Now for the outfit!

The dress is another Modcloth beauty (I created close to probably twenty outfits alone with dresses from Modcloth).  The name of the design is Wing of Beauty, and it costs $90.
Bracelet=$26 at etsy.com
Shoes=$112 at endless.com
Earrings=$45 at endless.com

Tomorrow, like I said earlier, is Lunch With the Gal Pals day, and I'll have a special treat for all of you. ;)

Date Night!

Now we're onto a lovely date night outfit!  I actually had so many slightly formal outfits already made that I had the hardest time choosing which to share with y'all!  But let's get right to it, shall we?

So, prices!
Dress=$60 on modcloth.com (Y'all should seriously check out this website.  They have a lot of AMAZING dresses.)
Shoes=$158 at bloomingdales.com
Purse=$75 at topshop.com
Necklace=$8.90 at agacistore.com

Thoughts?  Would you like me to post another date night outfit today, or are you content with waiting for Saturday's "Lunch With the Gal Pals" ensemble? :)

Day in the City

Today's outfit is all about classy city-wear, what a sophisticated urban-dweller might wear.  The expensive prices of this outfit fit the theme (but there's nary a Burberry, Louboutin, or Birkin in sight!).  It's shocking to see how much clothing can cost when you're used to less-than-designer stores and lots of coupons and sales, lol.  But without further ado, here's the City Girl outfit!

This was actually the first outfit I created on Polyvore, so I'm pretty proud of it.  But let's get to those prices, shall we?

Blouse=$199 at calypsostbarth.com
Jeans=$102 at my-wardrobe.com
Trench coat=$630 at farfetch.com
Shoes=$250 at stylebop.com
Hat=$25 at amazon.com
Bag=$44 at etsy.com
Bracelet=$40 at mango.com

Have a great day, everyone! (Once you've recovered from the sticker shock, that is!)

The Athletic yet Feminine Girl

That's the theme for today's outfit.  I wanted to get an outfit that wasn't super girly.  This girl could probably wear it in a pick-up game of various sports (well, minus the bag).  Please feel free to share your thoughts!

Top=$39 at fatface.com
Hoodie=$66 at fatface.com
Jeans=$135 at johnlewis.com
Sneakers=$71 at bankfashion.co.uk
Messenger bag=$149 at endless.com

Budget Outfits

Today, I'm going to be talking all about budget outfits.  I was able to create two outfits-one under $75 and the other just over $50.  In real life, I think I could probably create an entire outfit for under $50, but that's because there's always sales, and we have coupons, and the stores I go to have different options.  Let's start with the $75 outfit.

So this is an outfit I could picture wearing out to dinner.  Maybe to high school, if you're on TV, lol.  Wearing it to work might be okay, depending on your job.  Let me get the prices for you.

Sweater=$16 at hm.com
Tank top=$13 at buckle.com
Skirt=$24 at hm.com
Tights=$7.85 at uktights.com
Shoes=$13 at stylemetv.com
Total=$73.85

And now for the second budget outfit!

This one is a bit more casual.  You could wear it to the mall or while hanging out with friends.  Ready for the prices?

T-shirt=$13 at delias.com
Jeans=$15 at allyfashion.com
Shoes=$26 at maurices.com

So, thoughts on these less expensive outfits?  Does anyone have any outfits to share during our own little Fashion Week?

Writing Trick

Two blog posts in one day, gasp!  I tried to resist but decided I couldn't.  I decided to share with y'all something I use to help me flesh out a character and really get to know who they are.  I don't include it in the book, of course-that would be weird-but I can really imagine the character afterward!  It's something I got off a thread on this forum website I go on, and while I filled it out myself, it's now something I use for my characters.  It's called Sixty Questions and Answers.  With your characters, basically you'll have to choose a random day in their life to fill it out from.  Maybe start with a day in your book, or start prior to when the first chapter begins.  Below is the blank form, and I'll also share one for my newest character.
