This year felt like a very quiet year, good movie-wise. For me at least. I saw eight movies overall, but I only really loved half of them. I saw Insurgent and hated it. I went to see Cinderella with my mom (since she said she'd pay and for the Frozen short before the movie), and still didn't see why they needed to remake it in live-action. I saw Pitch Perfect 2 and liked it, but it had some problematic moments and I still like the first movie better. And I saw Ant Man, but really only for a certain cameo and then one of the post-credit scenes. So anyways, here are the four movies I did like enough to receive specific mention in this post.

1. Avengers: Age of Ultron
Well, I liked this one except for the Bruce-Natasha relationship that was completely unnecessary.

2. Inside Out
Actual favorite movie of 2015. So many laughs and tears and wonderful feelings.

3. Paper Towns
The Fault in Our Stars is still my favorite John Green book, but I liked what this one did with the MPDG trope (that is, completely attack it and destroy it). The movie adaptation wasn't bad but the ending was kind of a letdown compared to the original ending.

4. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
Holy wow. As much as I still don't see why two movies were necessary (I would've been fine with one super long movie), but I loved this one so much. I sobbed during a certain death (not the bombshell one), and then I cried during the scene with Buttercup. I liked that a few of the end scenes echoed scenes earlier in the movie series, and I loved that they included the epilogue. (Although didn't Peeta and Katniss have their girl first and then their boy?) Also, the scoring for this movie series is fantastic. There were so many melodies that paid homage to pieces used earlier in the series, and I loved that.

So what movies did you enjoy this year?
