Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Movies

Although I love talking about books and my top ten favorite ____ books/something about books, it's nice to talk about something other than that for at least one week.  So now you'll learn which movies I adore and watch over and over again.   These are listed in no particular order except in the order I originally wrote them down.

1. Beauty and the Beast
I never get tired of watching this movie.

2. Monsters University
I think I actually liked Monsters U more than Monsters, Inc.

3. Letters to Juliet
This is quite possibly my favorite chick flick.

4. The Avengers
I've never been a big fan of action films, and when everyone at my co-op was obsessing over The Avengers, it got old pretty quickly.  Finally, I agreed to watch it, and while it's not worth all the obsessing over, it's a great film.

5. Catching Fire
Catching Fire was much better than the adaptation of The Hunger Games, and it definitely ranks in my top 10 favorite movies.

6. Frozen
I don't care what you're going to say, Frozen is one of my favorite Disney films ever. The animation is stunning, I love the music (even Let It Go), the sister relationship is awesome, and I'm a Kristanna shipper forever.

7. Tangled
Tangled has the same beautiful animation that Frozen has, and I love Rapunzel, Flynn, and Maximus.

8 and 9. Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Cap is definitely my favorite Avenger, and both of his films were awesome.

10. Aladdin
While I love Disney princesses from every era (Original, Renaissance, Revival), my favorite Disney movies definitely come from the Renaissance and Revival periods.  Aladdin is no exception.

Honorable mentions: Disney's Mulan, Night at the Museum (both 1 and 2), Princess Diaries (1 and 2), October Baby, God's Not Dead, and Divergent

  1. Wooh Disney and Pixar made it on here! Seriously they made some great films! I agree about Captain America being great, I especially loved The Winter Soldier of the two! Also, The Hunger Games nearly made my list. Especially Catching Fire!

  4. Great choices! I definitely agree with a lot of these (and those that I don't, it's because I haven't watched them yet). I also just requested a bunch of movies from the library because this week's topic reminded me that I want to watch them. xD

  5. Beauty and the Beast! Love it! And Letters to Juliet! Most people I know haven't seen it, but it's definitely one of my top movies! :) Frozen (Elsa is my favorite!) and Tangled! (Both Rapunzel and Eugene!) I love Mulan, Night at the Museum, and The Princess Diaries (I have to admit that I like the 2nd movie better, though.), too! Love the list, Emma! :)

  6. Fabulous list with great movies!! The songs in Aladdin are just so singable and so well put together! I think my favourite character in Tangled has to be Pascal.

  7. The Avengers and Frozen made my list too!! And I love Letters to Juliet! And Catching Fire was AMAZING!! I can't wait for Mockingjay. The little teasers they've been putting up are killing me.

Oh, oh and I love Aladdin! That's my favorite Disney movie actually. And Tangled! So many good movies on your list. :)

  9. Beauty & the Beast is probably one of my favourite Disney films, along with Mulan (which I watched COUNTLESS times when I was younger!). Tangled was hilarious, really enjoyed that one too (I need to get a copy for my collection at some point!). I liked the adaptation of the first Hunger Games movie, but I agree that Catching Fire was even better – there was none of that 'shaky camera' sort of filmmaking that they used in the first one!

  10. I really liked Letters to Juliet. I remember expecting it to be stupid but it was really sweet.
