I got an email about a month ago that totally surprised me. It also reminded me how terrible my memory can be at times. Way back in June 2013, when I was a baby book blogger I submitted my review of Scarlet to Macmillan when they asked for reviews in a blog post of theirs. It had been seven months, so of course it completely slipped my mind. But then I got said email and just about cried.
In the paperback edition of Scarlet (released today, February 4th), there is a page dedicated to the book bloggers who submitted their reviews. And I'm on it. The cool thing about the page is that it's designed to look sort of like Scarlet's cover.
Ready to have a look?
Do you see my name? I'm labeled as bookworm716, which is actually a better alternative to Bookworm/Future Author since I'm now Awkwordly Emma (but my URL has remained the same). I also think it's awesome that I recognize some of the other bloggers (My Friends Are Fiction and Jenna Does Books to name two). And it's such an honor. Last May when I started reviewing books, I would never have dreamed of the things that have happened to me since then. This is one of those unbelievable things.
I'm getting Scarlet in paperback today, even though I own a hardback copy. I need to own this for posterity. And I think you should buy it, too. :)
