Rewind & Review #8

This has been a fun week!  I found my dress for prom (and it's gorgeous), I worked on my fanfiction, and I went to Elizabeth Eulberg's event in Winnetka!

Elizabeth's event was amazing.  It was small and intimate.  Everyone asked good questions, and she is absolutely hilarious.  I was the first one to ask her a question (brave me!), and it was one Summer at Blue Sky Bookshelf wanted me to ask.  Since she gave me three options, I chose to ask Summer's question of "Who did you [Elizabeth] connect with more: Levi or Macallan?"  Elizabeth said Macallan, mainly because she's a girl so it was easier to write her.  But then she told us this fun story about her loud upstairs neighbor who helped her get into a guy's voice for Levi.  If y'all remember my interview with Elizabeth from last Friday, she told how she came up with Macallan's name.  I asked her if she was ever inspired at other events like she was then.  She said she hadn't had any big moments, but then she talked about how writers observe everything and could potentially use anything they see in a book (hi, people at co-op who know I do this).

We had to go for Culver's for dinner - it's such a large part of Better off Friends.

Books I Received

Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong (snagged the ARC at RBTL since Kelley is going on the spring Dark Days tour with Kiera Cass and Danielle Paige!)
Knightley & Son by Rohan Gavin (Got this one from RBTL, too.  It's MG, so we'll see what I think.)

Books I Bought
6609714
The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg

Books I Read
Across a Star-Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund
The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau (reread)
Lady Thief by A.C. Gaughen

It was a crazy busy week, so I didn't read a lot.  Hopefully I'll have more time since I'm on spring break from my psychology class next week.

How was Lady Thief? As good as Scarlet? Better? Worse?

    1. As good as Scarlet. I read a good majority of it in the car, though; otherwise, I would've been throwing it at walls.

    1. I'm not really sharing pictures of it or talking about it, but if you follow me on Twitter I shared one little sneak peek of it and I'll post a full shot when it's time for prom. :)
