I love fairytale retellings with every fiber of my being. So it may come as a surprise that I struggled with this week's topic. Well, I struggled to come up with ten books and I technically cheated by counting books from a series separately. I've decided I struggled because, while I love fairytale retellings, I don't like every single one I read. So without further ado, here's my list.
1. The Merchant's Daughter by Melanie Dickerson (Beauty and the Beast)
2-4. Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress by Marissa Meyer (Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel, respectively)
5. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge (Beauty and the Beast)
6. The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale (The Goose Girl)
7. Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George (Twelve Dancing Princesses)
8. A Wicked Thing by Rhiannon Thomas (Sleeping Beauty)
9. The Princess Spy by Melanie Dickerson (The Frog Prince)
10. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh (A Thousand and One Nights)
I've enjoyed Melanie's. And of course I LOVE the Lunar Chronicles. Some of the others on your list are intriguing me.
