Ahhhh.  In my mind, it's officially summer.  So that means I'm ready for foods fit for picnics, barbecues, and summer in general!

One of my favorites is corn on the cob.  I finally got to have some again last summer after several years with braces.
Freezing corn on the cob

My mouth waters at the thought of corn on the cob dripping with butter and...steak. (I don't mean corn on the cob dripping with steak, btw.)

Flank Steak is SO easy and SO impressive for small groups! This #recipe serves 8 people for #dinner portions. #yum!
I'm definitely a meat-lover!

Honey Peach Frozen Yogurt Makes about 1 quart Ingredients 3 ripe peaches, peeled and cut into chunks. (about 3 cups of cut fruit and you can use a mix of white and yellow) ¼ cup honey 2 ½ cups Fage Greek yogurt
Peaches in any form are one of my favorite summer treats, and I can't forget...

Freckled Lemonade!
Red Robin's Freckled Lemonade (alcohol free). So Yummy!! Easy to make - regular lemonade with thawed strawberries & their syrup.
It's my favorite beverage to get every time we go to Red Robin, and I'll have to try a recipe for it so I can have it at home this summer.

And...last but not least, my special lemon blueberry crumb bars.  I got the recipe from a package of Philadelphia cream cheese, and they're now a family favorite!

Okay, so I gotta know: what are your favorite summer foods?

  1. Anything that can be grilled on the grill are my favorites for summer! Porkchops, kebabs, hamburgers, italian sausage, chicken breasts, chicken legs...the list goes on. Every fourth of July, my mom makes this amazing homemade strawberry shortcake. It's to die for! Also, my mom's homemade potato salad. Now I'm craving all of this!
